Dear Eco Women: Protectors of the Planet,
Thank you so much for the fabulous eco-stationery set. I was thrilled to win your One Year Anniversary drawing but I never expected such a windfall! A hefty package arrived yesterday from Eco Lassie containing two sets of pretty note cards, a lovely journal, a set of three memo pads, a mini notepad & matching pen and the sweetest little Gesundheit! tissues.

I hardly feel worthy of such a gift, given that I started visiting your website only recently, only have been eating organically for the past three years and before that I didn't see myself as having very much potential for active Green-ness at all.
After all, I grew up in Southern California during the Age of Excess. We ran our air-conditioning units non-stop during the summer and heated our swimming pools to duplicate tropical temperatures in the winter. And when we happened to look around and notice the haze from our ghastly carbon emissions, we wondered--- but still considered it highly unlikely that a few cans of hairspray could cause something as big as the ozone to shrink. By the time environmental issues came more to the forefront of my awareness, I felt like a bit of a loser given my 'sorted past'--- but mostly I felt overwhelmed at the task of sorting out so much information about things like sustainable food choices and eco-friendly production of goods. I mean, really. Where to begin when I'd had such a faulty foundation? It's not always easy to know which products in the marketplace are just taking advantage of a trend in consumer behavior and which products are actually environmentally sound.
Enter the Eco Women! It's just been a few weeks since I first logged onto your site, and now I'm actually toying with the idea of planting a vegetable or two of my own, (probably in a container--- baby steps :)) something I've never had the where-with-all to do. In addition, I've learned about eco-friendly paper products that don't feel at all like fiber board, Green clothing, toiletries, buildings, and transportation to name a few other things. I think many who already know the Eco Women are right now nodding in recognition of your knowledgeable, super-powered yet down to earth efforts toward protecting the planet.
Thank you for your great sense of fun and your general awesomeness at what you do. I will certainly be using my new stationery in good conscience.
Yours,
Kathy
P.S. Eco Lassie, I loved the Puppy Dog stickers on the outside of the mailer--- such cute Ruff-ruffs!

Aha! So you're the one who stole that gift out of my hands! :)
I actually just one a $20 gift certificate for an online Etsy pottery store last night.
Thanks for stopping by my site! Hmmm. I feel a need to watch Serenity coming on. Good thing I have a job that allows me to watch TV or movies while I work some days! (It gets too quiet otherwise. I need sound to help me focus.)
This absolutely makes my day!
Aw, that is so cool!
Glad you liked it!
I've always wanted to plant something in our backyard!!
But i remember bringing a flower I planted at flower and it dying and feeling so sad... I wonder if i can handle it... :)
